Dr. Peter Jesuorobo Ighodaro, who hails from Uselu in Benin City, was born on May 27, 1960, in Sapele, Delta State. He is the fifth child among the eighteen children of his father, Mr. Emmanuel Oyemwense Ighodaro, a prominent furniture businessman, and the second of nine children of his mother, Mrs. Grace Esohe Ighodaro, a textiles trader. 

Dr. Peter Jesuorobo lghodaro's educational journey began in 1966 when he enrolled in primary school. Those early years provided a strong foundation for his future endeavors. He nurtured a passion for learning and discovered his aptitude for creativity. As he progressed to secondary school from 1972 to 1976, his academic horizons expanded, and he gained valuable knowledge across various subjects.

In 1977, Peter joined Auchi Polytechnic in Auchi, Edo State, graduating with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Graphic Design in 1981. He served in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 1981/82 at Arabic Teachers' College, Maiduguri, Borno State. This experience instilled in him a sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute to society. After completing his time in the Youth Corps, he worked briefly for a year at Seeds & Lauds Advertising Ltd, Lagos, as a Visualizer.

However, lghodaro felt a strong pull towards the field of graphic design, and he made the decision to further his education. He attended the University of Benin between 1983 and 1985 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree in Graphic Design. The years spent honing his skills and exploring the world of design were transformative. With a deeper understanding of the power of visual communication, Peter lghodaro emerged as the best graduating student in the Faculty of Creative Arts. In 1991, he achieved a significant milestone in his academic journey by obtaining a Master's degree (M.A) in African Studies from the nation's premier university, the University of Ibadan. This interdisciplinary program provided him with a broader perspective on culture, history, and the diverse narratives that shape our world.

From 1990 to 2000, Dr. Ighodaro worked as an Art Director and Creative Director at Grant Advertising and Greentones Advertising, respectively, in Lagos. These roles allowed him to apply his expertise in graphic design while collaborating with talented teams. The fast-paced and dynamic nature of the advertising industry challenged him to push boundaries and create impactful campaigns that resonated with audiences.

Throughout his professional career, he recognized the importance of sharing knowledge and inspiring the next generation. In 2000, lghodaro transitioned into the field of education, joining Yaba College of Technology as a teacher of Advertising Design, Computer Graphics, and Art History. It was a rewarding experience to mentor and guide aspiring designers, fostering their creativity and helping them hone their skills. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and personal growth, he pursued another Master's degree (M.A) in Art History at the University of Lagos, graduating in 2010. This deep dive into the historical and theoretical aspects of art provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the evolution and significance of cross-cultures and timelines.

Finally, in 2021, he achieved the pinnacle of his academic journey by completing a PhD in Industrial Design at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. This rigorous process allowed him to contribute to the field through research and innovation. It also served as a testament to his dedication and perseverance. In 2014, Dr lghodaro rose to the esteemed position of Chief Lecturer, and he had the privilege of serving as the Head of the Department. This leadership role allowed him to implement innovative programs and inspire future generations of designers.

With the ongoing intersection of technology and creativity presenting new possibilities, and witnessing the evolution of graphic design into emerging technologies, it became imperative for him to enhance his skills by exploring UI/UX design and other multimedia disciplines. This allowed him to broaden his skill set and become an Integrated Designer, capable of crafting cohesive visual solutions across diverse platforms. He is dedicated to remaining at the forefront of these advancements. On a personal note, Dr Peter Jesuorobo lghodaro is married to Sidi, a retired school counselor and together they are proud parents to Adesuwa and Osazee.
